The Sime K1 Irrigation Sprinkler is a medium volume impact sprinkler with a part or full-circle operation. The sprinkler head pivots on a bearing on top of its threaded attachment nut. The head is driven in a circular motion by the force of the outgoing water, and at least one arm extends from the head. The sprinkler arm is repeatedly pushed back into the water stream by a spring. The arm’s striking the water stream scatters the stream and re-orients the flow slightly, enabling a uniform watering area around the sprinkler.. On part-circle operation, it will rotate until it reaches the switch-over arm and the rotates It comes with a dynamic jet breaker to improve the distribution of water over a uniform pattern. Pressure required is 1.5 – 4.5 bar at a flow of 2.9 – 10.7 cubic metres per hour. The Sime K1 irrigation sprinkler has a distance range of 15.5 to 23.5 metres radius depending on the flow and pressure available with suitable nozzle fitted. It is supplied with a standard set of nozzles 6, 8 & 10mm – With sizes up to 14mm available at extra cost.
Each individual sprinkler can produce an equivalent rainfall intensity of between 3.8 – 6.2mm per hour. These figures depend on flow, pressure and nozzle sizes fitted.
The connection size is 1 1/4″ female BSP thread size and the part circle sectoring is adjusted by moving the two rings above the connection bearing.
This sprinkler is supplied as standard with the RM Speedy Rain 405 Irrigator replacing the Komet R20 sprinkler which is out of production and no-longer available.
